This is the traditional manufacturing method of badge making.
Each enamel colour is
oven baked at high temperature, air dried
and then hand polished.
Although it is the most time consuming method, it produces the
highest quality badge.
The original
technique was developed by the Chinese more than 6,000 years
ago to
make prestige ornaments. Cloisonné items stand more
as collectible jewels than just
basic promotional gifts.
Hard Enamel being a glass like material, Cloisonné pins last
for a lifetime.
